  It's so easy for a woman to choose to become a single parent, isn't it? Yet for a man, there is a fairly obvious problem. Knowing how much my friend wanted a child, and seeing how wonderful he was with my own daughter, I decided to help. My husband was totally supportive, and a fertility doctor who would help was surprisingly easy to find. Our one major disappointment was that we lost the first child we conceived.
