Proud Surrogate's Comments:
|
On the 3rd of March, Jason Connor Brooks, made his way into the world. He was a healthy 7lbs 3oz, 19in. beautiful baby.
I am so thankful to my IPs Len and Brian for picking me to give them this miracle. I have never felt so much love pouring out in one place and time, as I felt in the delivery room.
In fact, I have been so overwelmed by it all, that it's taken till now to put into words how great this was for me.
I just want every surrogate out there to know that with the right IPs, you can have the most precious memory of your life.
Len video taped the birth, that was great,(I never saw that end of it before)hahaha!
Brian hugged me and cried thru most of the delivery (sorry Brian, now everyone knows how tender you are)(smile).
They made such a fuss about my happiness, they spent everyday with me till I was released from the hospital. I got to spend time with Jason, and he is an angel.
We all became really close during the pregnacy, but we got even closer at the end. My children went with me to N.J. and since I don't fly, Len flew into Ks. and drove us all out.
My family and I stayed in their house though the visit. The Grandma, Aunt, and friends took turns caring for my three little ones, while I was in the hospital.
I caught the flu, and their whole family took turns caring for me and my kids, till my medicine kicked in and I could safely go home.
Len drove us back to Ks. while fighting the cold, he picked up from me. Then he flew home to be with his new bigger family.
They told me everyday how proud I should feel about myself and how thankful they were to me. They bought me a beautiful tennis bracelet to remind me how special I am to them. When anyone comments on it, I am going to have a great story to tell. I'm sure this bracelet will become a family keepsake.
All in all, I don't feel proud, I feel humble, blessed, and very thankful that I made the choice to be a surrogate. Thank you, Len and Brian for sharing your home, your family, and your love with me. I know Jason is one lucky little boy. I wish every child could be loved like that.
For all IPs out there, take a lesson from my IPs and let your surrogate know how special she is to you. To all surrogates, take the time to find a good match with your IPs, call your IPs, don't sit around waiting for them to call. Let them know you feel blessed to help them. GOOD LUCK to everyone on the baby road.
